About the Studio

This is what we believe:

• Music is a joy. Music lessons should be fun. They are a privilege, not a punishment or requirement. If we’re not having fun, something is wrong.
• Music study isn’t always going to be easy, but it always should be satisfying.

This is what we do:

• We emphasize initiative and self-direction and encourage exploration and creativity.
• We encourage parental involvement and will communicate student progress monthly.
• We show all students respect, encouragement and affection.

Our primary goal is to teach students how to learn. Teaching is matched to students* learning styles;

therefore, teaching style, curriculum and approach are flexible, varied and individual.

Studio Specialties: Adult, Learning disability, Gifted, Music Technology (MIDI, etc.), Relaxed environment, High-school Aged Students, Music as Therapy, Aspergers & Autism

Standard Rates:

1. Master Teacher:

• $160/month for 1/2 hour lessons
• $240/month for 45 min lessons
• $320/month for 1 hour lessons
  • Discount for 3 month quarter paid in advance.
• Specialties: Autism and Aspergers, ADD, accompanying, composition, teacher mentoring.

2. New teachers:

• $140/month for 1/2 hour lessons
• $210/month for 45 min lessons
• $280/month for 1 hour lessons

3. High School Teachers:

• $100/month for 1/2 hour lessons

Term Dates:

• Fall Quarter: September through December
• Winter Quarter: January through March
• Spring Quarter: April through June
• Summer Quarter: July and August

Studio Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: Before school – evening
• Friday: Before school – afternoon
• Saturday: Morning-early afternoon
